The Supreme Court will consider the complaint to the Bar
Baku/28.06.18/Turan: The Supreme Court will consider the complaint against lawyer YalchinImanov against the Bar Association, reported the lawyer YalchinImanov, whose activities was suspended by the Bar Association. He filed a cassation appeal to the Supreme Court on the decision of the Ganja Court of Appeal on his complaint.According to YalchinImanov, he demanded to consider the cassation appeal in the case on the termination of advocacy in Sumgayit and accept a counterclaim against the Presidium of the Bar Association for consideration.
The complaint has already been submitted to the court and will be considered on August 29 under the chairmanship of Judge NigarRasulzade.The Presidium of the Bar Association decided to apply to the court on November 20 last year to exclude Y.Imanov from this organization. The activities of Imanov were suspended until a court verdict was passed.The decision of the Presidium was made on the basis of the complaint of the Penitentiary Service. The complaint of the penitentiary service states that human rights activist YalchinImanov and defendant Abbas Huseynov published false information about torture in theGobustan prison.
The decision of the Presidium was considered by the administrative and economic court of Ganja. During the consideration of the case, applications for the consideration of the case at the place of residence and the work of Y. Imanov, the city of Sumgait, as well as the cancellation of the decision of the Presidium of the Bar Association on November 20, 2017, were not accepted.-0-
