Baku/13.09.22/Turan: The Russian Federation and the Collective Security Treaty Organization has not reacted to the military escalation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border by 12 noon on September 13.

There is no information about the conflict and the appeal of the Armenian Security Council on the websites of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the CSTO.

Today, Armenia's Security Council made a decision to "officially address the Russian Federation to implement the provisions of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance, as well as the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the UN Security Council".

This is not Armenia's first attempt to involve Russia and the CSTO in the conflict with Azerbaijan. At the CSTO summit in Moscow on May 16 this year, Pashinyan reproached members of the organization for not responding to Armenia's calls for assistance, arms sales to Azerbaijan and the CSTO's neutral stance during the 44-day war in 2020.

Recall that the CSTO consists of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Armenia chairs the CSTO.-0-
