On October 5, the Iranian Tasnim agency reported that several shells fired during the military conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh hit the territory of Iran; in particular, they fell near the settlement of Khoda Afarin. As a result, a six-year-old child was injured and several houses were damaged.

According to the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan, the Binaqadi Court in Baku has extended the detention period for the previously arrested leaders of the Karabakh separatists: Arkadiy Gukasyan, Bako Saakyan, Araik Arutyunyan, David Babayan, David Ishkhanyan, Leva Mnatsakanyan, David Manukyan, and Ruben Vardanyan.
