Russia and Turkey must become guarantors of peace in Karabakh - Ilham Aliyev
Baku / 07.10.20 / Turan: Turkey and Russia should take an active part in resolving the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, said the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in an interview with the Russian First Channel.
According to him, today cooperation between Russia and Turkey, a NATO member, is much stronger than cooperation between the Turkish state and “another NATO member country”, which “constantly accuses Ankara of something” (France - ed.)
The Azerbaijani leader believes that these are the political realities of today. Since 1992, the world has changed significantly, and we must proceed from this.
Aliyev noted that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan "has bothered the world leaders with his phone calls" and is losing his position in their eyes in the issue of resolving the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.
“And those who have the potential for settlement, those whom Azerbaijan respects, so they should be guarantors of long-term peace. We see Turkey and Russia among them,” Aliyev stressed. -02D-
