Novruz Mammadov: learn lessons from the "Arab Spring"

Azerbaijani people should learn from the "Arab Spring", can be inference from the interview  of Novruz Mammadov, Deputy Presidential Administration

who is responsible for international relations. In an interview with the site of the ruling party "Yeni Azerbaijan", he said: "Our people must thoroughly analyze the processes in the Islamic world, and to evaluate them."

In particular, attention should be paid to the situation in Egypt. "Look in which situation was is  this country , which was a hotbed of the  world culture: now it is divided, split, and  the destructive process continue. They did not want it, but  such situation was created there," Mammadov said, without specifying exactly who created this situation.

"Our wisdom  is to see and  properly evaluate it. It is encouraging that the majority of the population of Azerbaijan, 80-90% support the course of President Ilham Aliyev and know that this way  is leading the country to a bright future," continued Mamedov.

However, he  regretted that there is a "minority" in the Azerbaijani society , to which he refers  some of the NGOs, political parties and the media, which have become a "tool" in the hands of foreign forces. “This is in their blood," said Mammadov. However, he is convinced that " such things will never create problems for the Azerbaijani people, which well distinguishes  good from bad .”—06D-
