Opposition Leaders on Parliament Dissolution
Baku / 28.11.19 / Turan: Parliament dissolves ahead of schedule so that the regime holds elections suddenly, to falsify them again, wrote on his page on Facebook, the PFPA dealer Ali Karimli.
“They understand that the protest electorate is growing every day. The government does not yet know how the alignment of forces will change before next fall,” Karimli writes.
According to him, the National Council and PFPA will seriously discuss the situation. “I can confidently say that free elections and reforms are not worth the wait. They are preparing to steal another election,” Karimli said.
The leader of the REAL party, Ilgar Mammadov, praised the holding of early parliamentary elections. “The reasons for the dissolution of the parliament appeared back in May, when the Milli Majlis refused to consider the legislative initiatives that we have presented (on introducing the institution of an elected mayor in Baku).
Parliament then evaded its legislative functions, and this was the basis for its dissolution. However, they did not dissolve then, they dissolve now on other grounds, and so be it. We consider it positive and are preparing for the elections,” Mammadov said.
The leader of the Musavat party, Arif Hajili, also believes that the parliament should have been dissolved. “This parliament certainly should be dissolved. For it was not created by the will of the people. But in order to prevent the creation of such a parliament again, an election reform is necessary,” Hajili wrote on his facebook page. –06D--
