OSCE / ODIHR mission meets in the Milli Majlis
Baku / 19.12.19 / Turan: A meeting was held with the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) mission on needs assessment was held in the Milli Mejlis on Thursday.
The parliament’s press service informs that the mission arrived in Azerbaijan in connection with the upcoming parliamentary elections on February 9 next year.
The delegation, represented by experts Radivozhe Gurich, Tim Knobjau and Alexey Gromov, met in the Committee on Legal Policy and State Building, where they received answers to their questions.
The mission also met with deputies representing small political parties. According to a press release from the Milli Majlis, the deputies assured the OSCE / ODIHR mission that everything is fine in the country and “very serious reforms of the political system are being carried out in Azerbaijan”, and the country “has created favorable conditions for free and fair elections.” - 02D-

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported.
