Over five years, 1,500 people were returned from Europe to Azerbaijan
Baku / 15.01.20 / Turan: Since 2014, in readmission order, 1,445 people have been returned from Azerbaijan to Europe from Azerbaijan. This was announced at a press conference today by the head of the State Migration Service of the country Vusal Huseynov.
According to him, in 2019, 457 people returned to Azerbaijan, and in 2018 - 464. Most of the deportees were people who immigrated to Germany.
Azerbaijani citizens were also returned from Austria, France, Sweden and Belgium.
The readmission agreement between Azerbaijan and the EU was signed in 2014. Readmission agreements provide for the return of illegal migrants to their country of origin or transit state. –06D-
