Baku/16.09.13/Turan : The Council of National Unity of European Azerbaijanis ( CNUEA) intends to support in the presidential election the single candidate from the National Council Jamil Hasanly .
The statement from CNUEA says all the resources and capabilities of the organization will be used.
The Council calls on voters to vote for Hasanly and use all democratic means to fight against fraud.
The application of this social structure , uniting political refugees who fled from Azerbaijan in different years , notes that the pre-election situation in the country can not be called democratic .
The fact of the nomination of Ilham Aliyev for a third term is a violation of democratic principles.
"In this country actually a neo-monarchy reigns , and there are no normal conditions for the elections," the statement said. -05D04-

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times.
