Prosecutor General's Office on the details of shelling the Baku-Ceyhan oil pipeline
Baku/07.10.20/Turan: The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan presented details of the night rocket attack of the Armenian Armed Forces on oil and gas pipelines in the western part of Azerbaijan.
As reported, late in the evening on October 6, the village of Aran in the Yevlakh region, located 50 km from the combat zone in Karabakh, was fired from the territory of Armenia.
The Smerch 9M525 fragmentation missiles fired by the Armenian armed forces, containing 300 9N235 bombs, were neutralized in the air by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. As a result, part of the bombs fell on the 42-inch South Caucasus gas pipeline passing through the village of Aran. Another part fell 120 meters from the Baku-Supsa oil pipeline; the rest fell 100 meters from the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline.
Based on these facts, the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan on October 6 opened a criminal case under several articles of the country's Criminal Code. The necessary operational investigative actions are being carried out. The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan informs international organizations about the actions of Armenia. -02D-
