Provocations on Keshikchidag to Be Suppressed - State Border Service
Baku / 04.06.20 / Turan: The State Border Service of Azerbaijan announced the receipt of information regarding the intentions of a group of Georgian citizens to commit provocative actions on June 4, violating the Azerbaijani-Georgian state border on the territory of the Keshikchidag State Historical and Cultural Reserve.
The Azerbaijani side informed the State Border Police of Georgia on the matter.
The State Border Service of Azerbaijan stated that any provocation on the state border will be resolutely suppressed, and the organizers of the provocation will be responsible for the possible consequences.
Earlier it was reported about the intention of the Georgian nationalist organization Georgian March to hold an action on Keshikchidag, where the David Gareji monastery complex is located. –06D-

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry declined to clarify for Turan the conflict reported by the Politico website between Azerbaijan's Ambassador to the EU Vagif Sadikhov and Armenia's head of diplomatic representation to the EU, Tigran Balayan. The Ministry only confirmed that Politico had indeed communicated with the Azerbaijani ambassador and that he told the foreign media outlet that everything Balayan claimed was false.
