Putin, Erdogan Discuss Karabakh, Creation of Monitoring Center
Moscow / 25.11.20 / Turan: On November 24, in the evening, a telephone conversation took place between the Presidents of Russia and Turkey. As reported by the Kremlin press service, Putin and Erdogan "in detail and in all aspects" discussed the implementation of the agreements fixed in the Statement on Nagorno-Karabakh of the Presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia of November 9.
Vladimir Putin informed about the activities of Russian peacekeepers, “effectively ensuring the maintenance of the ceasefire and the safety of the civilian population. The priority of solving urgent humanitarian problems related to the return of refugees, restoration of infrastructure, preservation of religious and cultural sites was also emphasized.
The parties exchanged views on the work on the creation of a Center to control the ceasefire and all hostilities in the conflict zone.
Both sides noted the need for consistent and full implementation of decisions aimed at ensuring stability and establishing a peaceful life in the region, the report says. -02D-

On Saturday, December 7th, a session of the "Musavat" Party's Majlis took place. During the session, the party leader, Isa Gambar, presented a report on the current socio-political situation in the country. The Majlis also approved a decision by the party’s board to grant district organizations of "Musavat" the authority to nominate candidates for the municipal elections scheduled for January 29, 2025. A statement of the organization on RSF’s X (formerly Twitter) account said: "Reporters Without Borders condemns these new arrests and calls for their immediate release, as well as the release of 13 other journalists held in disgraceful conditions on trumped-up charges."
