The position taken by France is open disrespect for the UN Charter. The implementation of such a resolution of the Senate is not binding for the government and is advisory in nature.
However, France should not forget about its problem with Corsica, so it could be costly to recognize NK. The author recalls how President Ilham Aliyev advised Macron to create an Armenian republic in Marseilles, where there are more Armenians than in Nagorno-Karabakh.
