Ramiz Mehdiyev Threatens His Critics with Court
Baku / 25.08.20 / Turan: President of the National Academy of Sciences Ramiz Mehdiyev decided to give a real fight to his critics and made his second harsh statement in the last 24 hours.
This time, Ramiz Enverovich showed that he was seriously angry and listed the names of those who betrayed him or, taking the opportunity, hit him below the belt. These are MPs Elman Nasirov, Ganira Pashayeva, Fazail Agamaly, Malahat Ibrahimgizi, Samed Seyidov, Musa Gasimli, Hikmet Babaoglu, Eldar Guliyev, Ulvi Guliyev, Hijran Huseynova, Shahin Ismayilov, Malik Hasanov, Javid Osmanov and Siyavush Novruzov.
They are also former officials Hajibala Abutalibov, Abid Sharifov and Maxim Musayev, as well as political scientists Eldar Namazov, Elkhan Shahinoglu and Elchin Mirzabeyli.
He further mentions the editors Rauf Arifoglu, Bakhtiyar Sadigov and Sardar Jalaloglu, who "are participating in this dirty game."
Mehdiyev threatens them with court for libel and insult and shames them for betrayal.
“If you are so brave, confess who instructed you to slander the person who was close to Heydar Aliyev and his faithful successor Ilham Aliyev for 49 years,” he says.
The former head of the Presidential Administration constantly emphasizes that both Heydar Aliyev and his successor Ilham Aliyev highly appreciated Mehdiyev, and the country's leadership has not changed its assessments.
However, this thesis of the former head of the Presidential Administration looks frivolous, to put it mildly. It is Mehdiyev who knows better than anyone else who and how selected and approved the list of parliament deputies, and who gave the command to the media to subject political opponents to moral terror.
Another topic that Mehdiyev raises is the accusations that he is an agent of Moscow.
"The authors of such slander do not understand that they can damage our relations with Russia," Mehdiyev writes, categorically rejecting such accusations.
Mehdiyev explains his second statement in 24 hours by the fact that his opponents got loose and decided that they would not be answered.
“Let the slanderers know that they may be held liable under Articles 147 and 148 of the Criminal Code (libel, insult),” Ramiz Mehdiyev concludes his message. -0-
