Baku/17.07.20/Turan: The State Security Service denied the allegations in social networks,  that the provocation with the seizure of the first floor of the Milli Majlis by the protesters on the night of July 15 was organized by the secret services.

As evidence of such a statement, users posted a photo in which employees of the Secret State Protection Service (SSPS) calmly observe the riots. Among the participants in the riots was indicted a  person resembling the SSPS General Rauf Khalafov.

The statement of the SSPS called such allegations absurd.

“The stay of Rauf Khalafov together with other law enforcement officers in the Milli Majlis proceeded from his official duties,” the statement said.

The riots took place at about 04:00 am on July 15.

The SSPS does not explain what Rauf Khalafov was doing in the parliament building at that time. -02D-
