Reception in Honor of New Emperor of Japan
Baku / 19.06.19 / turan: The day before, the Embassy of Japan in Azerbaijan arranged a solemn reception on the occasion of the accession to the throne of the new Emperor of the Country of the Rising Sun.
As the Japanese Ambassador Turiuki Katori recalled, on April 30, Emperor Akihito abdicated the throne after a 30-year reign. The next day, Crown Prince Naruhito was declared the 126th Emperor. According to the Ambassador, with the ascension to the throne of Naruhito, a new era of Reiva (Beauty and Harmony) began.
The diplomat stressed that the Japanese Imperial family is the longest monarchical dynasty.
The Minister of Ecology, Mukhtar Babayev, speaking on behalf of the government of Azerbaijan, noted the dynamic development of bilateral relations. He expressed the interest of Azerbaijan in expanding cooperation with Japan in the fields of economy, agriculture and the environment.
Japan is among the countries that have made large investments in Azerbaijan, Babayev said. -16D-
