Министр обороны Азербайджана Закир Гасанов
What Did Minister of Defense Keep Silent About?
It seems that the solution to the problems of Azerbaijani football is close. Unexpectedly, a good candidate appeared for the post of head of AFFA in the person of the Minister of Defense Zakir Hasanov. This idea was scattered on social networks after Hasanov"s "in-depth" analysis of the merits of football player Genrikh Mkhitaryan, which the Minister shared at a press conference for a group of pro-government journalists.
Not being able to ask the Minister a couple of questions directly, I would like to say to him: Dear Colonel General, do you not have other worries enough or has football become a problem for the armed forces?
Reading a lecture to journalists about what and how to write, the Minister ignored the issue of enemy spies in the army. Despite the scandal and the decisions of the courts that justified at least 4 officers tortured and killed during the investigation, as traitors of the Motherland, the Ministry of Defense is silent about how this could happen. Of course, it is better to talk about Mkhitaryan...
Hasanov's story about the tank training shell ricocheting 18 km looked no less strange. Despite the fact that more than a week has passed, the Defense Ministry has not made an official statement and or responded to the press inquiries about what happened.
At the same time, the Minister blamed the press for reporting on the death of a major on the front line. "We reported that a soldier was killed, and you write that a major was killed. How is it possible?" Zakir Hasanov was outraged. He explained his indignation as follows: now the Armenians have learned that there is no commander in this battalion....
One would like to ask Hasanov if the news of the death of the battalion commander means the loss of combat capability of the rest of the army...
I would like to remind Hasanov that, after the major died, materials began to appear in social networks that the major did not die on the front line. It is possible that these were fake messages inspired by the enemy. But they very quickly gained "convincingness" amid the silence of the press service of the Ministry of Defense. If the Ministry of Defense paid tribute to the heroism of the officer and respected him with honors, such rumors would not appear.
But apparently, the leadership of the Defense Ministry was busy with other, more important things, such as analyzing Mkhitaryan"s football career and counting how much time he spends on the bench. Anyway, now thanks to the Minister of Defense we know for sure that "he is not worth a penny."

Modern wars test humanity's resilience, compelling a reevaluation of priorities and values. In such times, it is especially crucial to demonstrate not only strength but also a commitment to the principles of international law and humanity. Ukraine, facing an unprecedented scale of armed aggression from the Russian Federation, continues to uphold the norms of international humanitarian law (IHL) while resisting this aggression. The Voluntary Report presented by Ukraine's Ministry of Defense has become a symbol of transparency, accountability, and the pursuit of justice.

Public figure and scholar Dr. Jamil Hasanly has expressed deep concern over the arrest of Natig Javadly, a journalist from Meydan TV, who has been charged with smuggling and placed in four months of pre-trial detention. For those familiar with him, this turn of events is hard to believe. Known for his integrity, intellect, and devotion to the truth, Javadly is considered one of Azerbaijan’s most respected journalists and thinkers.

"Human rights" derive their foundation from justice. Justice is natural and connected to creation. From the moment of birth, this right is naturally granted to every person. Law, however, is something given — limited to what parliaments deem appropriate for us. The extent to which parliament represents justice and fairness is always a matter of debate.
