Why counterintelligence is inactive or journalists as SMERSH
The pro-government press in Azerbaijan has unique and, at their true worth, underappreciated qualities.
The patriotism of individual press workers can be the envy of any statesman. For a long time now, media workers have been exposing traitors and spies, who for some reason are not noticed by counterintelligence. Apparently, it is time to bring back SMERSH (the NKVD unit "Death to Shions", abbreviated SMERSH).
It is noteworthy that the "spies" appear precisely at the moment of aggravation of Baku's relations with external partners. Thus, a year ago, the annual meeting of graduates of American universities was suddenly declared a "gathering of American agents" who were supposed to receive another tasks.
Everything was moving towards the fact that the valiant counterintelligence would take them by the gills, but the cunning imperialists cancelled the event and the "spies" were saved. However, as it turned out, half of the Azerbaijani government is among the graduates of American universities and educational centers.
The standard for catching "spies" can be AZTV, which almost every week directs public opinion to another lair of enemies and traitors, calling for them to be dealt with. It seems that this is where the country's foreign policy is formed.
Well, and the last example is the search for spies in the Russian House. The categorical nature of such statements does not agree with journalistic ethics. I just want to ask: "Well, show me this spy! Have you seen him?"
The most interesting thing is that as soon as interstate relations are normalized, the "spies" and their countries turn into true friends of Azerbaijan.
It is also surprising that these same enemy countries have invested huge amounts of money in Azerbaijan. And I want to ask, how can one cooperate with "enemies"?
How productive is such a dual policy and how does it affect the perception of Azerbaijan?
The average citizen seeks answers to these questions in television appearances by bald "political scientists" who compete to justify official policy. Thinking people can only laugh at all this clowning.

In our society, there is no place under the sun for enlightened people. In our society, the place for enlightened individuals is in dark basements. People who ought to spread light are subjected to curses. Their only weapon is their bright ideas. Their only crime relates to daring to uncover truths hidden beneath the societal fog, bringing them to light and acquainting the community with them. Natig Javadli was such a person, a journalist with a historical consciousness and an enlightening activity.
