Jeyhun Bayramov arrives in Ankara for trilateral meeting
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov arrived on a working visit to Ankara on 29 January to participate in the 2nd trilateral meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Economy/Trade and Transport of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.

On Thursday, the trial of former deputy and entrepreneur Huseyn Abdullayev continued at the Baku Serious Crimes Court, chaired by Azer Tagiev. On January 30, it was announced that the judicial investigation had been updated due to Abdullayev's appeals to President Ilham Aliyev and the country's Prosecutor General. However, the appeals did not help, and the prosecutor reiterated the indictment, once again requesting a 10-year prison sentence for Abdullayev.

The Council today adopted a decision extending the mandate of the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA) for a further two years, until 19 February 2027, with a budget allocation of over €44 million for the period from 20 February 2025 until 19 February 2027.
