Religious leaders of Azerbaijan adopted the appeal in connection with March 31
Baku/28.03.18/Turan: The heads of religious confessions of Azerbaijan adopted a joint appeal in connection with the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis on March 31. The appeal was signed on Wednesday at an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the tragic events of 1918. The document was signed by Sheikh Allahshukur Pashazadeh, Archbishop Alexander of Baku, head of the religious community of Mountain Jews Melikh Evdayev, Chairman of the Albanian-Udi Christian community Robert Mobili.
Speaking at the event, Pashazadeh recalled that Baku in 1918 saved the Caucasian Islamic Army.
"Then many brave sons of the fraternal Turkish people fell by the death of the brave. Let's not forget about them when we remember the martyrs of Khojaly and Karabakh, the people who gave their lives for their Motherland," Pashazade said.
At night on March 30 to April 3, 1918, Armenian and Bolshevik detachments killed 50,000 Azerbaijanis in Baku, Shamakhi, Guba, Khachmaz, Lankaran, Hajigabul, Salyan, Zangezur, Karabakh and other regions. To help Azerbaijan, the Caucasian Islamic Army, created by the decree of Enver Pasha, who at that time occupied the post of defense minister of the Ottoman state, came to Azerbaijan. -02D-

Official Baku has condemned the visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to the Azerbaijan-Armenia border during his official visit to Armenia. "The visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to the to Armenia-Azerbaijan border area in the company of members of the EU Mission in Armenia (EUMA), unfortunately, is another demonstration of anti-Azerbaijani policy of different EU member countries and European institutions.
