Russia requires federalization of Ukraine
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview to Russia 24 that Russia has no plans to cross the borders of Ukraine.
At the same time, he said that Russia will insist on the federalization of Ukraine, "because it is a requirement of the southern and eastern regions."
Lavrov called a disgrace the decision of the Ukrainian authorities to keep the Maidan to the May presidential elections in Ukraine.
Lavrov also touched upon the subject of Transnistria, which appeared in the blockade through the actions of Chisinau and Kiev. According to Lavrov, this policy "is encouraged by the United States and the European Union."
Note that the situation in Transnistria became one of the themes of the telephone conversation between U.S. President Barack Obama and Russian leader Vladimir Putin on the night of March 29. Putin offered to hold talks on the "actual external blockade" of Tiraspol. -02D-
