U.S. offered Russia a version of the settlement of the situation in Ukraine
Barack Obama offered Vladimir Putin an option of settlement of the crisis in Ukraine and for the second time in the day called the Russian President to withdraw military forces from the Ukrainian border, according to the radio Echo Moskvy.
In the phone conversation at night Obama offered Putin something on Ukraine. Its essence is kept secret. At least, a senior administration official told reporters that at this stage the U.S. will not disclose details. He only said that the document is a "broad concept" of American proposals to Russia.
Moscow is also terse. The Kremlin press service noted that Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama continued to exchange views in connection with the crisis in Ukraine. "We agreed that the specific parameters of such cooperation will be discussed by the foreign ministers of Russia and the United States."
A curious detail drew attention of journalists. Obama again called on Putin to withdraw troops from the border with Ukraine and to refrain from taking any steps of further violation of the sovereignty of the country. Moscow had previously stated that nothing of the sort was planned.
The telephone conversation was initiated by Vladimir Putin and lasted about an hour. -02D-
