Russia-Ukraine: U.S. Condemns Latest Airstrikes, Pledges To Do Everything To Bring Russia To Justice
Washington D.C./29.04.23/Turan: Washington on Friday condemned the latest wave of Russian missile attacks on Ukrainian cities and pledged to work further to bring the Kremlin to justice for its war crimes, TURAN's U.S. correspondent reports.
"... This is another example in a long line of examples of Russia’s brazen disregard of Ukrainian civilians and Ukrainian life," State Department's Principal Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel told a daily briefing when responding to TURAN's questions.
"... Time and time again we have seen them take volatile and reckless actions as it relates to their unjust war in Ukraine, and the United States is going to continue to do what it can to support our Ukrainian partners, continue to do what we can to hold the Russian Federation accountable as well," Patel said.
Friday's attacks hit several cities across Ukraine, killing at least 23 people and injuring many others, according to Ukrainian officials. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the airstrikes as “another night of Russian terror” and called for an escalation of global sanctions against Moscow.
