On November 8th the city of Shusha was liberated, said president Ilham Aliyev on his direct appeal to Azeri nation.
"We wait ot 28 years. Glory to our Hero Armed Forces", - said Aliyev.
Baku/08.11.20/Turan: On the evening of November 7, Azerbaijani forces broke into the city of Shusha in Nagorno-Karabakh, informed military sources report. This information is indirectly confirmed by Armenian sources, who have ceased to report victorious information and are reporting on the difficult situation both in Shusha and in Khankendi.
According to reports, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces broke through the Armenian defense from several sides and street battles began in the city.
As of the morning of November 8, a significant part of the city is already under the control of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and it is possible that it will be completely taken within today.
Another important point is that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces actually blocked Khankendi, from where the Armenians were transferring reinforcements to Shusha.
Also, the Shusha-Lachin road is under the control of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, which makes it impossible to send aid to Karabakh from Armenia. -02B-
