Six Azerbaijani-Iranian documents signed
Ceremony of bilateral documents took place after the one-on-one talks of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Iran, President Ilham Aliyev and Hassan Rouhani, and then in the board format on August 7, in Baku. In the presence of the leaders of the two countries were signed an intergovernmental protocol of intent on cooperation in the implementation of international transport corridor "North-South", according to state news agency reported. In addition other document have been signed: an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the sphere of protection and quarantine of plants, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of e-safety, a memorandum of understanding in the fields of standardization, metrology, conformity assessment and accreditation, a memorandum of understanding between the central banks and the cooperation program in the field of tourism 2016-2019 years. Rouhani arrived on an official visit to Baku on 7 August. A trilateral meeting between the presidents of Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran will take place on 8 August.—06D--

Adalyat Verdiyev, the head of the civil defense staff at the public legal entity Center for Public Health and Reform under the Ministry of Health, and a military expert, has been arrested. On November 22, during a media tour to the liberated territories, Verdiyev filmed and published information and images on his social media accounts revealing Azerbaijani Armed Forces' combat positions in the heights, deployment sites, coordinates, and operational conditions of the border troops. This disclosure caused significant damage to the interests of state security and defense capability. This was stated in a report from the General Prosecutor’s Office.

On Monday, the Baku Appeals Court considered the appeal of Talysh researcher Iqbal Abilov against the extension of his detention for another four months. The defense argued that the decision to extend Abilov's detention was unjustified, lawyer Fariz Namazly told reporters.
