Rouhani: trilateral talks in Baku are very important
The Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that trilateral talks between Iran, Russia and Azerbaijan in the Azerbaijani capital are very important, stated the president Rouhani on Sunday before flying to Baku, capital of Azerbaijan, where talks in a trilateral format will be held on 8 August, IRNA reported. "The talks will focus on the project of the international transport corridor" North-South "," the Iranian president said. The transport corridor "North- South" is the marine, rail and road route for the exchange of goods between India, Russia, Iran, Europe and Central Asia. "Trilateral talks in Baku are important from the point of view of cooperation with neighboring countries, the situation in the Middle East and the Caucasus and stability there," said Rouhani. "The two-day talks in Baku between the three countries will be held for the first time," he added.
Speaking about his visit to Baku, Hasan Rouhani said that there will be a number of bilateral and trilateral meetings on bilateral issues and regional anti-terrorism. The relations with Azerbaijan in recent years expanded and relations with Russia are aimed at achieving the strategic goals," stressed the President Iran. "Iran has good cooperation with the two countries in various international and regional issues," President Rouhani said.
