On February 3, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan annulled the results of the municipal elections held on January 29 at six polling stations. In particular, the voting results were declared invalid due to violations identified at polling stations NN: 42, 43, 44, 45, 46 in the 81st Imishli constituency.
As a result, the election results for the Badjiravan Municipality, which includes the villages of Badjiravan and the settlement of Agdjuyur, were also invalidated.
Additionally, the election results were annulled at one polling station in the 23rd Nasimi-Sabail electoral district. However, this did not affect the overall election results in the Nasimi municipality.

In Azerbaijan, there is a need to adopt an Amnesty Act, said Siyavush Novruzov, the head of the parliamentary committee on regional issues, during a session of the Milli Majlis on February 3. He reminded that since independence, Azerbaijan has adopted 13 amnesty acts and over 70 pardoning decrees. "The parliament can once again put forward such an initiative and prepare an amnesty act by Independence Day (May 28)," Novruzov said.
