Six million manats to eliminate the consequences of the earthquake in Shamakhi and Agsu
Baku / 15.11.19 / Turan: On November 15, the head of state signed a decree on the allocation of 3 million manats to continue work on the restoration of housing in the earthquake-affected areas of Shamakhi and Agsu.
In February and August 2019, earthquakes of magnitude 4-5 occurred at the epicenter in these areas. As a result, hundreds of residential buildings and farm buildings were partially, or completely destroyed.
Since then, the authorities have repeatedly allocated funds for reconstruction work.-02D-

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) today issued five rulings on applications from Azerbaijan. The case of "Afgan Mammadov v. Azerbaijan" concerned the complainant's exclusion from the Bar Association. Mammadov was expelled based on a complaint filed by a colleague, which he considered unjust. The ECHR ruled that Mammadov's rights had been violated and ordered Azerbaijan to pay him €5,000 in compensation for moral damage and €1,000 to cover legal costs.
