State Border Service Deputy Head and Other Officials Arrested
Baku/16.05.20/ The Baku Military Court granted the request of the State Security Service to arrest for 4 months the deputy chief of the State Border Service, Lieutenant General Afgan Nagiyev, and a number of other officials.
All of them were detained on May 13 during a special operation of the State Security Service and the Prosecutor General. “Unlawful actions” were indicated as the reason. It is not reported what exactly were the actions. The names and positions of the other arrested, and even their exact number, are also unknown.
According to unofficial data, Nagiyev and other persons were connected by corrupt net, and involved in the illegal fishing in the sea. -0-

During the winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) that opened today in Strasbourg, the issue of restoring Azerbaijan's voting rights will not be considered.
