Baku / 30.09.20 / Turan: The head of the Iranian Presidential Administration Mahmoud Vaezi denied reports on the supply of weapons to Armenia through the territory of Iran.

In a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, he said that these rumors are aimed at undermining good relations between Iran and Azerbaijan.

"The Republic of Azerbaijan occupies a special place in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Tehran uses every opportunity to strengthen and develop its relations with Baku," Vaezi was quoted by the IRNA news agency.

It should be reminded that the day before a group of Iranian Azerbaijanis blocked several trucks heading to Armenia on the Iranian-Armenian border. According to the protesters, the trucks contained weapons in transit through Iran. Some of the vehicles were set on fire by the protesters.   -02D-
