The Armed Forces of Azerbaijan occupied 74% of the territory of the Soyudlu gold mine
Baku / 02.12.20 / Turan: The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan distributed video footage from Soyudlyu (Zod) gold-bearing deposit in Kalbajar region of Azerbaijan.
This field had been illegally exploited by the Armenians after the occupation of Kalbajar in April 1993. In subsequent years, the Armenians went deeper and deeper into Azerbaijani territory, illegally exploiting the field and expanding gold production. According to unofficial data, over the years, the Armenians have finished off more than 15 tons of pure gold here.
As a result of the Second Karabakh War, the Armenians were expelled from Kalbajar and the Azerbaijani troops restored the legal border with Armenia. At the same time, it became clear that most of the gold development is located in Azerbaijan, and together with the mine and mines, heavy equipment and other infrastructure.
Azerbaijan threatened Armenia with international courts in order to obtain repatriation for the damage caused. It can be assumed that all the equipment and machinery of the mine will be confiscated to cover the damage caused by the Armenian side for the illegal exploitation of this deposit.
