The arrest of a youth activist Ilkin Rustamzade is prolonged
The judge of the Nasimi Court, Azer Pashayev, extended for two months the arrest of Ilkin Rustamzade, a member of the organization "Free Youth".
He was arrested on May 17 in connection with the organization of a flash mob Harlem Shake on the boulevard, which is regarded by the authorities as hooliganism.
According to his lawyer, Neymat Kerimli, prosecutors, explained the extension of arrest. As Rustamzade did not to appear in investigation, he allegedly was hiding and prevented the conducting of the investigation.
"I filed a request for the documents confirming the above. However, no documentation was provided," said the lawyer.
According to him, the judge also did not substantiate his decision on the extension of detention.
Ilkin Rustamzade, according to the lawyer, feels fine and he has been treated without any surgical intervention. -16B04-
