The Azerbaijani army conducted practical shooting from artillery systems DANA
Baku / 14.06.18 / Turan: Artillery units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces conducted practical firing using self-propelled artillery systems DANA. Shooting was conducted in conditions as close as possible to combat, the press service of the Defense Ministry said.
With the use of 152 mm artillery equipped with an automated control system, the living force, fire weapons, long-term firing points, control points, artillery and mortar batteries of the conventional enemy were destroyed.
Self-propelled artillery systems DANA are manufactured in the Czech Republic.
Maximum range of fire howitzer of these installations is 18,700 meters, with special charges is 20,000 meters. -06D-

On January 13, the trial in the case of public activist Nijat Ibrahim continued in the Baku Serious Crimes Court under the chairmanship of Judge Aygun Gurbanova. The trial was suspended after Ibrahim, in protest against the illegal arrest, began banging his head against the "aquarium cage", trying to commit suicide. The International Committee of Concerned Scholars (ICS) has appealed to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, requesting his assistance in securing the release of the arrested researcher, Igbal Abilov. The ICS expressed concern that Abilov's arrest "may be related to his research on ethnic minorities in Azerbaijan, conducted in collaboration with scholars from Armenia."
