The court arrested the former head of Jalilabad for 4 months (updated)
Baku/09.12.20/Turan: The previously dismissed head of the Jalilabad region executive power Namig Zeynalov will be arrested. The State Security Service of Azerbaijan made a corresponding submission to the court.
Zeynalov was detained several days ago during operation of the State Security Service (SSS).
On December 9, the Sabail court began considering the submission of the SSS. Zeynalov was charged under Articles 179.2.2 (misappropriation and embezzlement committed repeatedly), 179.2.3 (embezzlement and embezzlement committed by a person using his official position), and 179.2.4. (Embezzlement committed with causing significant damage), 308.2 (abuse of office), 311.3.3 (taking a bribe on a large scale), 311.3.2 (receiving a bribe again), 313 (official forgery).
There is no doubt that Zeynalov will be arrested; and he will be the seventh chief executive arrested this year on similar charges. -02D-

Activist Nijat Ibrahim, who was detained in Baku pre-trial detention center-1, inflicted numerous wounds on himself on November 20 in protest against unjustified criminal prosecution, his wife Parvin Ibrahim told Turan. According to her, on November 21, her husband called her and informed her that the day before he had inflicted incised wounds on himself with a piece of mirror. In particular, he cut his throat and ears.
