Baku/21.11.23 Turan: On the night of November 21, the editor-in-chief of the "Abzas Media" internet publication, Sevinj Vagifgizi, was detained at the Baku airport while returning to Azerbaijan.
According to Turan's correspondent, Vagifgizi was detained and taken to the Main Police Department of Baku city right after getting off the plane.
A day ago, the director of "Abzas Media" Ulvi Hasanli was detained on suspicion of smuggling.
Vagifgizi is known for his journalistic investigations on the facts of corruption among Azerbaijani officials.
He has previously been subject to lawsuits and other pressures due to his professional activities.—21S06-
