The EU Special Representative discusses Karabakh issue with Pashinyan
Baku / 12.02.19 / Turan: On Monday, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, Toivo Klaar.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, Pashinyan stressed the need for early ratification of the EU Agreement on a Comprehensive and Expanded Partnership with Armenia, which contributes to reforms in various spheres of Armenia. According to him, the EU has already presented a roadmap for implementing the provisions of the agreement.
During the meeting, they discussed also issues relating to the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. Nikol Pashinyan noted that Armenia is committed to a peaceful settlement of the problem within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship format, and attached great importance to the involvement of Nagorno-Karabakh, in particular civil society, in confidence-building measures. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that this will contribute to the formation of a constructive atmosphere in the negotiation process, reports Radio Liberty. -02D-
