The European Court will consider the situation with the implementation of its decisions
Strasbourg / 06.06.18 / Turan: On June 5-7 the Council of Europe's Committee of Ministers holds its quarterly meeting examining the implementation by the member states of the Council of Europe of the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights. According to the sources in the Council of Europe, there are three cases from Azerbaijan: the case of Gafgaz Mamedov (arrest for participation in demonstrations); the case of Ilgar Mammadov (unjustified arrest for criticizing the authorities); the case of Mahmudov and Agazade (unjust conviction on charges of defamation).
The member states of the Council of Europe are obliged to implement the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in accordance with Article 46 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
The Committee of Ministers oversees the implementation of decisions on the basis of information provided by relevant national authorities, NGOs and other interested parties.
Official Baku ignores the implementation of a number of decisions of the ECHR, and for this reason the procedure is launched under Article 46 of the European Convention providing for the imposition of sanctions against Azerbaijan for non-enforcement of court decisions. -02D-

It seems that the Kremlin's hopes that Donald Trump's return to power in the U.S. would be beneficial for Russia have not come to fruition. Upon returning to the White House, Donald Trump stated that he plans to meet with Putin soon. However, he also declared that Putin is "destroying Russia" by refusing to make peace and end the war in Ukraine.
