Shoigu invites the CIS countries together to restore Syria
Baku/06.06.18/Turan: Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu invited the CIS members to take part in the establishment of a peaceful life in Syria, through the provision of humanitarian assistance and the restoration of infrastructure. Shoigu said this on June 6, opening a meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS countries.
According to him, we can talk about cooperation in the issue of mine clearance, joint patrols in the zones of de-escalation, humanitarian assistance, restoration of infrastructure. "We count on your support, which would demonstrate our unity in the fight against international terrorism and ensuring common security," Shoigu said. It is noteworthy that such a proposal comes from the head of the military department of the Russian Federation, and not the political leadership. Moscow is experiencing serious pressure from the United States, the European Union, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, demanding not to support the regime of Bashar Assad. In such a situation, the Kremlin does not have other allies.
It should be noted that the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Zakir Hasanov, also takes part in the meeting. -02D-
