Azerbaijan’s foreign trade appeared resilient in the first half of 2026. According to the State Statistical Committee and the State Customs Committee, turnover rose 1.1 per cent year on year to $24.66bn. Exports increased 26.7 per cent to $16.32bn, while imports fell 27.6 per cent to $8.34bn. As a result, the country’s overall trade surplus reached $7.98bn — about 5.9 times the level recorded during the same period last year....
