The Foreign Ministries of Azerbaijan and Russia discussed preparations for the Caspian summit
Baku/18.06.21/Turan: Bilateral consultations between Azerbaijan and Russia on the Caspian Sea issues were held in Baku on June 17, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said on June 18.
Note that consultations were held by Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Representative of Azerbaijan for border and Caspian Sea issues, Khalaf Khalafov and, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Special Representative for delimitation and demarcation of state border of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Petrakov.
The participants discussed the implementation of the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian Sea, preparations for the next Caspian Summit, as well as draft agreements between the Caspian countries on cooperation in this area, the report says. -02D-
