The head of Kurdamir arrested for 4 months
Baku / 20.08.20 / Turan: The Binagadi District Court of Baku today chose a measure of restraint in the form of arrest for a period of 4 months against the head of the Kurdamir District Executive Power, Jeyhun Jafarov, who was detained the day before, reported in the afternoon of August 20 the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
Jafarov is charged under four Articles of the Criminal Code: 308.2 (abuse of office that entailed serious large bribes.)
Under these articles, he faces up to 12 years in prison.
Jafarov is charged with extortion and bribes in the amount of 137 thousand manats from health care institutions, 58 thousand manats - from the utility services complex, 120 thousand manats - from educators, 71 thousand manats - from the malt-producing enterprise. —06В-
