The Karabakh forum called for rigidity in the negotiations
Baku / 24.01.18 / Turan: Azerbaijan should resume military operations in order to liberate its occupied territories. This was the leitmotif of the participants of the Karabakh forum held on January 24 at the headquarters of the "Classic" party of the Popular Front of Azerbaijan. In addition to the representatives of this organization, the leaders of Musavat, National Independence, Umid, Greater Azerbaijan, Freedom, People's Party, Free Democrats, Democratic Party, Aydinlar, National-Democratic, National Unity, United Azerbaijan ", the Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO), as well as the heads of a number of NGOs and veterans of the Karabakh warparticipated in the Forum.
The leaders of the parties accused the Azerbaijani authorities of capitulating politics. "Without a change of power in Azerbaijan, the resolution of the Karabakh conflict is impossible. If we can not change the power, then we must make it start a war, "said the head of the KLO Akif Nagi.
Leader of the National Democratic Party, Iskender Hamidov, believes that the conflict can be resolved by military-political means. According to him, the resolution of the conflict passes through the forcible expulsion of the invaders. In speeches as the culprit for delaying the resolution of the conflict was called Russia.
"This is a war that Russia is conducting through Armenia against Azerbaijan. Therefore, Azerbaijan should be united in the struggle for the settlement of the conflict, as during the national liberation movement, "said the leader of the Free Democratic Party, Sulhaddin Akper.
The speakers also criticized the activities of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group. There were also proposals to change the co-chairs by rotation, to add to the Turkey too. The statement of the forum participants condemns Azerbaijan's consent to strengthen the OSCE observation mission on the contact line of the troops.
"We regard this diplomatic failure after the victorious operations of our army in April 2016, achieved at the cost of the victims, as a crime," the document says. The Karabakh forum demanded that the authorities remove corrupt officials from the government, respect human rights, social justice and guarantee freedom of the press.
"The government of Azerbaijan must observe democratic principles, eliminate problems in relations with international and European democratic institutions," the statement says.-06D--
