Trial in the case of the "Musavat" activity in the city of Shirvan
Baku/24.01.18/Turan: A preparatory meeting on the case of the local organization of the Musavat party, Alikram Khurshudov, was held today in the Shirvan district court,
A lawyer Neymat Kerimli told Turan. The defense petitioned to release Khurshudov for house arrest, and also offered to conduct a video audit of the trial. However, both applications were rejected.
The court partially granted the motion to release Khurshudov from behind the bars, but did not allow him to sit next to the lawyer. Hearings on the merits are scheduled for February 7.
Khurshudov was arrested on November 22, 2017 in the city of Shirvan on charges of hooliganism - Article 221.3 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism with the use of weapons) and 315.2 of the Criminal Code (providing resistance to violence against a representative of power) of the Criminal Code, under which he faces up to 7 years of imprisonment.
