A meeting between representatives of Baku and Karabakh Armenians has begun in Yevlakh
Baku/21.09.23/Turan: A delegation of Karabakh Armenians arrived in Yevlakh on the morning of September 21 for a crucial meeting with representatives of the Azerbaijani government.
Video footage circulating on Azerbaijani telegram channels captured the arrival of the Karabakh delegation, who traveled in a convoy of three black SUVs with tinted windows. They were accompanied by Azerbaijani police vehicles and one vehicle from the Russian peacekeeping contingent.
The purpose of these negotiations is to finalize the measures outlined in the September 20 statement, which pertains to the dismantling of separatist structures in Karabakh, the voluntary surrender of weapons, and the initiation of the region's reintegration into Azerbaijan.
While the specific participants in these negotiations were not officially disclosed, President Ilham Aliyev had stated the previous day that Baku would be represented by his personal envoy, Elchin Amirbekov.
Some unconfirmed reports suggest that the head of the Karabakh delegation was "State Minister" Artur Harutyunyan.--06B--
