The meeting of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia will take place in the near future
Baku/31.05.23/Turan: The meeting of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on unblocking transport communications will be held in the near future, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk stated.
"Today, an agreement has been reached to hold a meeting in the very near future. The issues to be considered concern technical details related to the border crossing between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The point is that there will be passport, customs and all other types of control at the border that exist at international borders," Overchuk said, answering a question from Interfax.
According to him, the parties came "very close" to restoring railway communication between the western regions of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan.
Armenia also gets the opportunity to connect to the railway through Azerbaijan to Russia, as well as through Nakhchivan to Iran, Overchuk noted. ---0---
