The Ministry of Health does not comment on reports of massive measles disease
Baku/06.12.23/Turan: The number of measles cases in most regions of the country is growing rapidly in Azerbaijan. According to a number of media reports, 40 people in an orphanage and 20 people in Khachmaz region have been infected with measles over the past day. The official authorities do not comment on these reports.
According to the Ministry of Health on November 29, sporadic outbreaks of the disease have been registered among the population since April 2023. It's mostly children who get sick. Since April 2023, 284 cases of measles infection have been registered in the country. Of these, 35 people (12%) are elderly. The Ministry urges parents to vaccinate all children aged 1 to 6 years. -0-
