Baku/31.05.23/Turan: On the second day of his official visit to Azerbaijan, Israeli President Yitzhag Herzog and his wife walked through the historical center of Baku – Icheri Sheher.
He got acquainted with the history of this historical and architectural reserve and enjoyed Azerbaijani sweets at a tea table in one of the local cafes.
The guests were presented with copies of the books "Ali and Nino", telling about life in Baku at the beginning of the 20th century. The author of this fascinating narrative, translated into many languages and published in dozens of countries, is the Baku Jew Lev Nussimbaum, published under the pseudonym Gurban Said.
