The Supreme Court grants the appeals of the two candidates for presidency
Azerbaijan's Supreme Court upheld complaints of the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, Fuad Aliyev and the head of the party "Azadlig", Ahmed Orudj, and returned the cases for reconsideration in the Baku Court of Appeal.
Complaints by Aliyev and Orudj regard the refusal of the Central Election Commission to register their candidates for the presidency.
According to Hafiz Hasanov, head of the NGO "Law and Development" , protecting the interests of Aliyev and Orudj, within three days the appellate court should re-examine the case of these persons. He did not exclude the possibility of satisfying the complaints and registration of Aliyev and Orudj as presidential candidates.–06В--
