There is no information about the member of the newly founded III Republican Platform
Baku/24.12.23/Turan: The contact with Araz Aliyev, a member of the NIDA Civil Movement and the Third Republican Platform, was lost on December 23 around 18:00 Baku time. His phone doesn't ring. Official institutions did not release information on whether Aliyev was detained or not.
Akif Gurbanov, the head of the founding team of the III Republican Platform, told Turan that there is no information about Araz Aliyev, a member of the organization, and there is a possibility that he himself will be detained.
"It is clear that this is related to our activities. I was also waiting for news from Araz bey. There is no news from Araz bey. I will solve the issue of the lawyer and leave the cafe. Most likely, they will also detain me," he said.
Akif Gurbanov previously noted on his Facebook page that operatives have been circling around his cafe for several hours. He connected it with his activity.
"It is due to our attempts to bring Azerbaijan out of darkness. It seems that the creation of the Third Republican Platform at this moment has made the regime even more worried. Because, as we said in our two missions, we want to move from a controlled society to a self-governing society. Our main motto is: We Obey the Law, Not the Individual.
Believe that at the end of every darkness there is definitely a light. That light will bring our country out of darkness very soon. Long live the Third Republic!" Akif Gurbanov noted on his Facebook page.
After the activists, journalists and lawyers arrived at the cafe where Gurbanov was, the detectives left.
After that, accompanied by activists, journalists and lawyers Gurbanov went home.
A group of socio-political activists announced the creation of the Platform on December 7. The purpose of the structure is to establish a genuine republican system in Azerbaijan.
The working staff of the Platform included political and public activists: Akif Gurbanov, Araz Aliyev, Elman Fattah, Rovshan Aghayev, Ruslan Izzetli, Samad Rahimli, and Yadigyar Sadigly. Akif Gurbanov was elected the head of the working staff for a year.--06C-
