Three Military Schools Merged into One
On December 25 the head of state issued a decree on joining the Higher Military Aviation School and the Higher Naval School to the Higher Military School named after Heydar Aliyev with the creation of departments of land forces, air forces, air defense forces and naval forces.
The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed within three months to resolve all the issues arising from this order.
Commenting this order for Turan, the military expert Colonel Khatai Bakhishov called it justified and timely. "There is no need to have so many military schools for all branches of service. It is enough to have the departments of Aviation, Navy and others. It would be also right to unite a number of other schools, such as schools of the Border Troops and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, under one roof," he said.
“This integration would enable significant savings, reduce overstaffing, obtain a centralized training program and increase the level of military education,” Bakhishov noted. -02D-
